Workshop Description

Advance your portfolio management capabilities with the MoP® Practitioner certification. This workshop focuses on the practical application and tailoring of the Management of Portfolios (MoP®) guidance to real-world scenarios. Participants will learn how to analyze portfolio documentation, roles, and data to support informed decision-making and successful implementation. Designed for individuals who already hold the MoP® Foundation certification, this workshop prepares you to advise on applying portfolio management principles and techniques within your organization. With the right support, MoP® Practitioners can contribute significantly to aligning change initiatives with strategic priorities and maximizing return on investment. To reach the PRINCE2® Portfolio Manager title, you need to take the PRINCE2® Portfolio Management (MoP®) Foundation and Practitioner modules.

Audience

The MoP® Practitioner workshop is designed for professionals who have already achieved the MoP® Foundation certification and are ready to apply and tailor portfolio management practices in real organizational settings. It is especially relevant for individuals involved in: Portfolio, Programme, and Project Management Business Change and Benefits Management Investment Decision Making and Strategic Planning Business Case Development and Project Appraisal Portfolio Office or PMO Roles Senior Responsible Owners (SROs) Management Board Members and Directors of Change.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to apply and understand how to tailor MoP® effectively, specifically learners should be able to demonstrate their ability to: define the business case to get senior management approval for portfolio management plan the implementation of portfolio management select and adapt MoP® principles, practices and techniques to suit different organizational environments evaluate examples of MoP® information (including documents and role descriptions) analyse the solutions adopted in relation to a given scenario.

Examination Details

Objective testing Duration: 180 minutes Four questions per paper with 20 marks available per question – all question items will be worth one mark, making the total number of marks available per paper 80 40 marks or more required to pass (out of 80): 50% Exam Format: Multiple Choice Exam Location: Anytime and anyplace with PeopleCert Online Proctoring / paper based exam Open book exam.
