Workshop Description

Plan Smarter and Faster with AI Tools

Gain hands-on experience using AI to enhance core product planning activities. Generate Smarter Roadmaps – Use AI to create product roadmaps that align with strategic objectives and business goals. Prioritize with Confidence – Apply AI-supported frameworks (like RICE or MoSCoW) and integrate human judgment to shape backlogs. Design Outcome-Oriented Releases – Develop AI-assisted release plans that balance feasibility, value, and time-to-market trade-offs. You’ll leave with tangible product plans and a deeper understanding of when and how to trust AI in your planning process.

Individuals who contribute to planning and delivery decisions within the product lifecycle. Professionals in product manager, product owner, delivery lead, release manager, and business analyst roles who want to integrate AI tools into their planning processes to improve speed, clarity, efficiency, and alignment.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: Identify & Evaluate product opportunities using AI to inform roadmaps, release plans, and backlogs. Simulate alternative roadmap scenarios with AI and assess trade‑offs against strategic objectives. Prioritize features using AI‑supported frameworks aligned to user and business needs. Design a multi‑iteration release plan with AI that balances customer impact, technical constraints, and time‑to‑market. Examine & Mitigate the reliability, biases, and ethical implications of AI in planning, proposing strategies to address identified risks.

Prerequisites

RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITES – General knowledge of generative AI or completion of AI training such as Foundations of Artificial Intelligence (ICP-FAI). Completion of Agile Product Ownership (ICP-APO) or equivalent product knowledge.

Professional Development Units (PDUs) Attendees may be eligible to apply for 4 PDUs toward their continuing education requirements with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for PMP®, PgMP®, and PMI-ACP® certifications.
